hi all

got a small prob... i have some brushes made on the mac bu i cant open them in windows keeps telling me its not conpatible
.. it was made in mac os9.2 .. ps version 6
and im using ps version 7 on win2k
can anybody help?

You could try the peeps at Brusheezy they know a lot about brushes.

what are the Mac brush files named? PS is all about the brush file being named properly and being the proper file type. Kind of like how Word makes .doc, PS makes .psd, etc. Try seeing if there is a PC version of the set.

I work on a Mac too and the brush sets are saved as abr. I've made a lot of Photoshop brushes that are available on my forum and put them in zip format and people using Windows don't have any trouble getting them to work. I think your compatibility issues might be because the version of Photoshop they were created in differs from the PS version you're using. I could be wrong about that because I've never downloaded brushes because I prefer to make my own, but friends who have downloaded from the different brush sites have said they've run into problems trying to open some brush sets that were created in a different version of Photoshop from the one they're using.
