I have a band I do a good bit of work for and they approached me about getting a website started up for them (well more like completely re-vamped: they already have the domain and a host).

The old site they had was pretty bad and so I tried to put together something myself with my extremely limited Dreamweaver abilities and I know I need a LOT of help. Here is a sort of skeleton of the design I started: http://www.groovestain.com However, I want to go in a different direction with the setup and design.

Anywho, I'm debating about purchasing a template (to keep that part of the cost low) but I need someone to help with inserting the art (that I will provide), making sure links work properly, troubleshooting problems, and all that other rigamarole. I am willing to consider any suggestions, though, about how to best go about this.

I'm a little out of my element here and am looking for advice as well as offering pay for the work. I know there are some talented web designers here, so let me know if you're interested.

Download a visual editor--I use "Web Page Maker". It's a nice program once you get the hang out it. Fills in the meta tags for you, allows you to literally drag and drop images and position/size them while being able to preview in your default browser and any given moment. I haven't had a problem yet with crossing between browsers.

Hope this helps!
