Hey, I'm having a super hard time trying to figure this out. I'm just looking for a simple script that I can put onto an index page of a website that would detect if the viewer is using a mobile device browser and if so, it would automatically send them to the mobile safe version of the website.
Google has it figured out, but from taking a look at their site I can't figure out how they got it to work. I'm not very keen in the back end code, I'm more of a designer.
It works like this:
on your mobile device using say, windows mobile 6, you open internet explorer and want to go to the google site. You type www.google.com or .ca... google reads that you are on a mobile device and sends you to, www.google.com/m bringing you to a google search site that is mobile browser friendly.
Please help me figure this out.
