Is it possible to change the content of a webpage using javascript or something similiar dependant on the users resolution...
e.g. if the user has 1024x768 then go here "directory/index.html"
???????DOES ANYONE KNOW THIS???????

its possible, but troublesome. that means the designer/coder has to prepare multiple sets of the same website.
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/info3.htm - screen res detector + redirect
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/info1.htm - screen res detector + notification

which is why i said, you can't do a website that detects and directs to the right resolution. there's so many pp with different resolution.
and lebby, you're damn lucky! i need that space.

I'm running 1680 x 1050 on dual 22" wide screens. So wouldn't that make it 3360 x 1050

I love my iMac 20" with 1680x1050 and an additional Syncmaster turned portrait for web pages at 1024 x 1280. The 30" cinema display was given to the boys downstairs using protools, and I felt it was way to big for my desk. I would like to find a replacement for the Samsung that perhaps was higher res but still turned portrait (physically) but I don't think they make anymore, and perhaps never will again :blush
