New Computer

Hey guys,

I need to get hold of a new computer, and before i start NO MAC's lol.

yes i need a new computer for graphic design and maybe video editing, im running a dell inspiron 5160 which i must say is a peice of S**T, and thew colours are differnt to when ther printed and also put onto a desktop computer, i need somthing with:
- fast processor
-good ram
-functionality of dual screen
great graphics card?

i was thinking a alien desktop comp would be good as its made for gamin ?

I was happy with the performance of my HP. very reliable.

Dell's are nice, just make sure you max out the RAM and graphics card if you can.

i have 1.5 ram, but the graphics card is built in i think ? im not too shure ?

What should u get........um ...

Start off with a case... so type in 'silverstone' or 'aurora'..

Motherboard... Asus P5B or P5k ---dont ask me how i know this
Graphics: Geforce 8800gts/x... or Radeon x1950
RAM - 2GB anything...
HD... Samsung Spinpoint --500gb perhaps (only £60)
CPU --> e6600.... maybe or something more expesnive...
obviously u need dvd drive etc... also and Power Supply

have a look around.

You dont hav to build one...you could go with an HP....or for great value i would go for a MESH matrix!!!

RAM not anything - u need DDR2 and i would say at least 533 if youre running it with the 6600
hard drive is preference i like seagate for the 5 yr warranty dunno how many samsung gives
oh man the 8800gts is gonna be sweet.
