Ok so me and Matt was talking about our favourite cars and we thought it would be cool to poll the cafe on which cars looks better aesthetically, which car is designed better and which car you would want to drive(disregard the status factor).

Prices wise, copen is half that of 6series.

Notey: Copen is really a car I love but a 2 seater is out of question for me..

I didn't know that Dihatsu made sports cars
because I always think of them as ugly mini vans, I have to vote for the 6, but only if its an M6 :)

Give me a station wagon, with room for my dogs and equipment. I'll just turn on the air conditioner when I want to be cool.

But if I must choose one over the other I would have to go with the BMW. On second thought I wouldn't go for either one, I could buy 4 or five cars for that kind of money. . .spend the rest of lenses, software, computers, and gadgets.

it feels like a status issue of bmw versus copen...
design wise it has to be copen, even after i relook at the design 10 times...

I drive a German made luxury car. Not for status but one of safety.
Years ago we were involved in a terrible car accident caused by a DUI driver. We walked away only shaken up and bruised. The way the car was engineered is what saved our lives.

why?!! i'm quite someone who loves japanese made cars, though japanese did invade singapore back in wwII, i think the quality is there and there is a resale market for them. and as for the way the car is made, daihatsu's is pretty well done :) i have seen the crash tests and read reviews on it..

european made cars are way off my budget.. i'm a poor student..

@KRB, I couldn't agree more my Jetta is a little powerhouse with safety at the top of the list.

The only thing I would want more than an M6.. is that model and an M6 :)

Alright Hermie :

http://www.daihatsu.de/download/trevis_2006/hires/Daihatsu_Trevis_2006_42.jpg

A pity that german cars are too expensive and way off my poor and small budget... and sg govt has a levy or what they call the certificate of ownership for cars and that is one hell of a sum.

Whatever your dream car is, you and Matt work very hard so can afford it. ;)
You two are very young.

I worked two jobs and lived at home right after college. I saved my money and paid in full my dream sports car. It was a Chevrolet, fully loaded, V8, Camero. I later installed a surround sound audio system.

Off topic. At that time, I was the graphic designer assigned to those nine car stereo stores. Years later I ended up marrying the owner of those stores. We have been married now for 23 years.

wow... but sadly.. its a totally different demographic that i'm confronted with in my area. i dont see a future as a designer, so speaking of which, some here knows that i have sort of switched lines/career to education, pshop remains only as hobby and design is only hobby or skill i take to my new line.

working hard and by next yr, i can get my dream car trevis.. its not an expensive car but definitely a classic one and i'll be the only singaporean to drive it, unless someone beats me to the importing.
