Hey guys,
I just got off the phone with Adobe where I was trying to upgrade to CS3. I was having difficulty because I'm trying to consolidate individually licensed products into a suite license. Apparently this isn't possible. I own the following individual Adobe Products:
Photoshop CS2, InDesign CS2, Flash 8 Pro, Dreamwever 8, Acrobat 7.0 Standard. (Illustrator is the only missing piece from the suite line-up)
I was trying to upgrade to CS3 Design Premium, but was not elegible for the upgrade price ($600). I would have to pay the same price as if upgrading from 1 product ($1600) It didn't matter that I already owned 5 products. Even if had all 6 individual products, it would be a no-go to upgrade to a suite.
The sales rep I spoke to was very friendly and even priced out how much it would be to upgrade each indivdual product (and purchase illustrator) and that was CHEAPER than the $1600 it would cost to upgrade to the suite. It was still more than I was willing to pay though.
I politely requested the assistance of a supervisor to see if there was anything I could do. That resulted in an abrupt "The policy is what it is." Ouch.
Has anybody else attempted to consolidate individual products into a suite at an upgrade price? If so, how did you do it?
