Just got my Upgrade from Creative Suite 2 to 3 Web Premium Ed.

Popped that puppy in right away and installed. All went well but I have a few questions.

I noticed that Version Cue 2 is still loading in my task bar, is that normal?

All my CS2 stuff is still installed. I guess that's ok but I was under the impression that it would update over top of CS2 product.

Is anyone having conflicts with their CS2 and 3 being installed or ran on the same system?

:cheers

You can run multiple versions with no problems.

When you upgrade/update to a newer version. Adobe always leaves the older version on your machine.
You can turn off Version Cue CS2, Double click on the icon on your task bar and untick Turn om Version Cue CS2 on when computer starts.
OR change the on for off in the drop down box.

Thanks guys.

But should I use Version Cue still? I assume there is no version cue in 3 or it has been some how rolled into the new Bridge? I don't want to run a redundant feature if its already in CS3 Suite as well.

Well in the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium you get.........

Combines Adobe InDesign® CS3, Photoshop® CS3 Extended, Illustrator® CS3, Flash® CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver® CS3, Acrobat® 8 Professional, Bridge CS3, Version Cue® CS3, and Device Central CS3.

I'm sure you get Version Cue CS3 in the Web Premium.

Yeah I understand that Version Cue 3 is part of the package but I dont see it on my system in the Adobe Suite 3 folder and version 2 is the one that keeps loading on boot up. Just found it kinda odd.

Go to your Control Panel (classic view) you should see Version cue Icon.
You have to turn Version Cue CS3 ON. When you install it, it is turned OFF by default.
