flash buttons changing between pages

I set up my home page with flash buttons linking off to other pages, then I use this page as a template for page 2 with flash buttons set up in position to rename and relink elsewhere but they keep changing the names and functions on the home page. ive tried deleting and bringing in a new flash button and naming and linking it but they still change around. cannot find why this is.

you are using two separate .swf files for either page?

what is .swf? I just created the first page with the buttons in place then saved another copy of that page with another name of the second page and changed the names and links of the same buttons to new links.I thought this was what was causing it so I brought in new flash buttons to the same locations and named and linked them but it still does it.

Didi you give the buttons a unique name?
