Looks GREAT so far...

The only two things I could even begin to suggest is:

1: Try tightening thing up a lil... Try making the buttons a little bigger, and you may want to consider making them a part of your header graphic... Expand your news section to be more filling (don't know about you, but I tend to ramble a little).

2: Try using a more filling background. You may find it draws more attention to the information you want people to see, but this also may have the reverse effect.

Just some things to try. You may like them... or you may not... but try them none-the-less...

Overall it's a great piece. Keep up the good work...

hmm... i like the pixilated design, very, but yes it needs to b "tightend" up a little bit.

!!* Can you tell me where you got that pixel font! i cant find a good one, and that one looks perfect
