I started to practise illustrator just few days ago. Ordinary, i like to explore everything myself but i lost lots of nerves so ill ask few questions.

Is there any way to warp the line above display of this phone (http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/2033/untitled3yp7.jpg)
The phone is 100% ill so far.
And how can i get real shiny plastic effect with illustrator like in this reference (http://img387.imageshack.us/img387/895/nokia60301sm0.jpg).
Also what bothers me is that depth around the numeric buttons.

:cheers

The line you're referring to was probably created with the rounded rectangle tool. That would give you the rounded corners you want. As for the shiny effect that is simply made using gradients or blends, as in the examples on this page (http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/illustrator/articles/illcs2at_blendtrans_print.html).

I agree with Doug use the rounded rectangle tool for the line and also for the hi-lights. You could try and use the gradient mesh tool, but if you are new then it may be over your head for now.

Hey Daz thanks. Actually i did all this with gradient mesh and i got it for rough details, but still have trouble with lines. Many experimenting ahead. :cheers
