Hey everyone,

I am in the process of shopping for a new laptop and wanted to hear some thoughts/opinions on the MacBook Pro. Not worried to spend some money if I get quality and/or features!

To narrow the search I am looking at the 15" for $1999.00 USD and the 15" for $2499.00 USD. The more expensive model has more memory on both the video card and system memory.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Matt

My 17" has th features of the good 15"
It also a Firewire 800 which the other doesn't. Memory isn't cheap and if you want to run certian apps, 2 gig is really nice

As always.... Memory is the key.
I don't have a mac, but a windows based computer is pretty much the same when it comes to memory!!
If you wanna use it in combination with photos, or photoshop.... Number (CS) 3 is on the way and it needs lots and lots of memory....
1 Gb memory is the minimum, if they have it: Graphic card should be (minimum) 128 Mb....
I hope this helps.

So I guess the question is, should I throw down for the 256mb video card that also comes with 2gb of ram or stick with the 128mb video card and bump that one up to 2gb of ram?

Thanks,
Matt
