Hi,
I've got some graphs done in Illustrator CS2 and placed into my InDesign document. The axes have a stroke weight of 0.25pt. They are printing fine from my laser printer from both InDesign and Acrobat. But I sent a PDF to the client for review and the axes are not printing on their laser printers. Does anyone know why they would appear on some printer and not others?
My main concern is when it comes to the offset printing that all my graphs won't have their axes and I'll have to fix them all then. Should I do something to them now? and what?

thanks very much

should be fine for offset. When making hairline rules, .25 is the thinnest that should be set. As long as it's not on a background. In that case, you would have to worry about the background filling in the stroke, depending on the paper, and colors.

All reasons I can think of comes down to one thing: your client's printer can't handle the rule, or the color. First and most simple is that the client's printer does not print that fine a line. If you sent a low res pdf, then there could not be enough information in the file for the printer to pick up as well.

If it's set digitally, and prints out on your printer it's fine. If you like to double check without sending out for a press test or digital proof, you can check through acrobat professional 7's, Preview Seperation options. Found under the Advanced>Print Production>Output Preview.

Hope this helps
