This isn't getting funny. In fact, I'm really really irritated and pissed!

Although the site has been changed already, the intent was clear there.

And the ripper was "smart" enough to keep all my meta tags, my image links, my navigation codes and he only changed my css codes to main000.css (originally main.css)

And I have written a formal email to this so-called designer, requesting for a formal apology.

I hate this, really I do.

How did I find out? The power of Google.

The ripper site now : http://shabeer.50webs.com

Thats the most clear ripping of your site, it even says that image links are pointing to your site..woah and he/she calls him/herself as designer:mad:

It just sucks.. he didn't even bother to change my meta tags and any part of my codes.. I'm really tired of all these crappers.

Even his current site is a design rip of my colour scheme and layout too..

And Tiono(w@r) told me to take it as a compliment, oh god.. How unflattering...

OMG..

I just realised that his current site is ripped from http://slicemydesign.com/

What the hell.. He should dig a hole and bury himself away

Email record with 50Webs.com -- My blood is boiling. Apparently when something is not fully identical, that is not ripping. How nice.

Compare the style sheets :
http://shabeer.50webs.com/styles/main0000.css
and mine http://www.rayvolvez.com/css/main.css

Hi 50Webs,

If the div namings and the documentation are exactly the same, do you call it coincidence? Is it not abuse?
I see no point in continuing this discusssion.

Thanks for your kind attention.

Apparently if I want to rip someone, all I have to do is modification and find myself a webhost like 50webs.com

What a big joke this is!

People, please respond after reading. I want and hope to show 50webs.com who condone the ripper's behaviors that the international community will stand up against ripping.

Thanks.

Thanks Jusu.. I'm glad too that I didn't need to use them..

Thanks Colin.. I wouldnt be surprised to see if his works in the source all has the line "saved from www.somewebsite.com" and seriously, he is a terrible ripper who doesn't wipe his mouth after stealing food..

Now I really wish that ripperhunting is back online, sadly its down until late 2007..

I feel much better after a night, its Chinese New Year and a good school break, I shouldnt let this get to me..

Thanks Tiono(w@rtistic), thanks for all the help :) So what do I have to do next?

FX, I wouldnt mind if you want to play Mr Westfall again :)

One thing I personally do against rippers is placing "morse-pixels" all over my websites. Basically I build the string "copyright by wischnewski.us" in morse-code [one dot = one pixel, one line = 2 pixels] and hide it somewhere in the image, adjusting the color to be just a few levels above the usual color (e.g. if the original image, or part of it, is colored in #000000 I'd choose #000015 for my copyright notice).
That makes it barely visible without zooming inside, and even if my images are altered via hue/saturation adjustments, it still exists without becoming more visible.

Once I found someone who actually ripped one of my personal websites to turn it into a "professionals portfolio" - when I found that out, I created a special html-page with screenshots of the copyright notice on the "desginers" website, and sent this link to all of his customers. Several days later, his layout had changed, and when I visited again after 2 month it was comlpetely gone... Guess his customers didn't like the idea of having paid for [probably] ripped websites themselves.

send the email you've sent to me to resellerpanel.com they run the show of those 3 hosting company's. include also the mail records from your first contact to the last one. also its maybe good to mention that he ripped slicemydesign.com too or maybe verify first at slicemydesign.com if they gave permission or not.

Imitation is the sincerest flattery.
-Mohandas Gandhi

I would be angry too, but you are so talented you have to expect this to happen. There are all kinds of creeps out there, but don't let it raise your blood pressure, just take it as a compliment.

rAyVoLvEz

reflect, I guess we have to agree to disagree here.. Perhaps imitation is the sincerest flattery but imitation is imitation, not theft, imitation means you try to emulate, theft is you just take whatever people do and claim it your own..

thanks for the compliment.. but i'm not talented.. :)

there i vould have to disagree. ;)

Any way, how can someone, who is actualy presenting his portfolio, "cheet" by using someone elses page or in this case css. I don't get it.

thanks reflect, yeah.. i'm not letting it get to me.. i have more things to care about in this world than to let that ripper ruin my day..

thanks orech, i really do not consider myself talented, because there are many others in here that betters me in skills and etc..

yeah, neither will i ever understand that.. but it seems like he needs to get some learning.. and the guts of him to copyright his site..

and well.. 50webs.com should be persecuted along, since they consider slight difference in codes to make the css a totally different thing.. and that that is not abuse once the filename is changed..

the ripper is in india.. and well.. i'm just too tired and buried with my school work and work to bother with such assholes..

as for 50webs.com, i seriously cant be bothered to get anything through their thick skull. moreover the ripper, he will get paid one day.

thanks vin.
