View Full Version : week 6 - Marthig (subbing slots) (8) vs Josh (8) / DRAW
Theme:
Space / Sci-fi
Subject:
Photomanipulation and Drawing
Description:
I saw you are good at photomanip Josh and also drawing, so I propose a space scape thingy. Sci-fi type.
I thought to post this link as an example of what I mean by
Space Object (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/42878754/?qo=17&q=by%3Amarthig&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3Ascraps)
Condition there has to be a planet or space object drawn exclusively by the poster, the background could be manip and or brushes, also of course it could all be drawn by the poster. All the best for both
The rest of the image and posting conditions just as stated by the rules. Please U2U me if you need some clarification.

really sorry but if u guys can give me a good 2-3 hours...i can complete it by then....coz ive been really busy this week, finishing school activities..blabla till today but since im so late, its fair to give marthig a walkover..depends on the moderator :)
nah, i think u can take ur time, its not by 2 or 3 hours that she'll have a walkover... cmon, finish it!

Force of Nature

This was a really really hard one...totally outta my style but no harm giving it a shot. I aimed more on realism and its 100% psd...yay!
cheers,
Josh

marthig gets my vote..
josh's one was really cool.. but the fire around the planet makes it unrealistic.. without that, i would have given the vote to josh
great jobs both

I like your post Josh, I thought it was a sun you tried to make. Cool (inspite of the fire though ;) ) :cheers
my vote goes to Josh!!
i think its more detailed, and the flames give the planet a cool look!!
martha, on ur planet, the black pattern u putted on some areas just gives it a flat look, cause its not wrapped nor spherized...
just an opinion...
nice works!!
:cheers
Martha i like the brush u used on the planet..looks cool...and yea i was trying to potray a sun...lol :)
Both are very good, i like josh`s flames and stardust. I vote for Martha, because the feeling and deep colors appeals me a lot in your work:)

Thank you Elaine and Jusu for your votes :x :D
Really appreciate your comment Josh, it is not only one brush I used in the planet, it has layer styles, layer blendings, masks and "lotsa" other stuff and effects ;)
Thanks for your opinion PM will remember for next time I make a planet or something similar :P
Josh just about gets my vote. Would have been an easier decision if you didnt add the flames.
:cheers

Josh! i like shiny - catchy colors.
Nice job both.Josh fire doesent look realistic but its kind of cool. My vote to Martha...it looks peaceful and it would look great on the wall.only crit to black texture filter on the planet.

my vote goes to JOSH,......well done both!
o.O nice match...way too exciting checking the votes, currently losing by 2...but by the looks of it, Martha has a very high chance of winning :) cheers and those who voted for me, thanks :)

He he, Josh I am not too sure about the high chance. As they say in baseball (I think) "it ain't over till the fat lady sings " :roll we can also end in a draw. Still I enjoyed it and you are a great oponent :notworthy
I also thank those who voted both for Josh as well as for me :x

My vote for Josh
Marthig - I like the planet but i don't think it's realistic enough. Also the space is very nice but just a little bit to "clean" (can't find the right word for it).
Josh - I like your planet, it has a message. The flames say that we use to much of the oson layer and we will get burnt. Nice colors, nice little stars.... Cool

Ha ha, understand what you mean Hermie, after all I said Space-Sci-Fi and Josh's image can fall under the Sci-fi clasification the attached image (http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/image/planetary/jupiter/ganymede.jpg) is from the NASA web site and corresponds to images taken by the Voyager. In the example is of Ganymede the largest satellite of Jupiter :) and you can't get more cleaner than that :roll You can barely discern a few lights in the background that I am not sure if they are stars or other satellites
