We should need substitute for FX77 and substitute for lewisel(Hannu). So I'm passing the chance to JMe who did the substitution for week 2 and lewisel's place to Hannu :) until FX77 and lewisel appears, else, JMe and Hannu shall substitute for the week if they are able to :)

If after week 3, FX77 does not appear and lewisel does not appear, we can have official replacements for the two positions.

If there are opposing views to the replacements idea, please state so. I do not and will not make any final decisions on my own without consensus from all.

Your challenge for the week, against me, will be photo manipulation/optical delusion.

Don't heave a sigh of relief yet. I know photo manipulation is your forte. It's not going to be easy, at least not for me :)

I'm pushing myself out of my comfort zone for the first time in 3 weeks as I attempt to get my hattrick of wins. Lets hope I do not kill myself on homegrounds.

This will be my first time trying optical delusion at a battle, but here's it.

Theme : Zip and Zippers. Zip it Up.

Take any image, and zip it good.
The rules of the game are thus: Take any image, any object, and put a zipper on the object. Make it as realistic as possible.

You may take a look at http://www.worth1000.com for works on optical delusion too.

Of course you can add any additional elements you wish.

C'mon Jusu, give me your best shot.

ok, our battle consists in making an image, size: 640x480 , that illustrates the Force of Nature...
the image must be made 100% in photoshop!!

yes, that means that u cant use photos, just everything must be made through photoshop tools, but, if u want to make a bit on Illustrator, its ok, just more than a half must be done on photoshop...

as usual.. if away opponents have difficulties with home challenges, please discuss it, and home players are encouraged to revise their challenges if possible..

remember, our ultimate goal is to learn, not to put down anyone.. of cos it would be good for the away player with problem to at least try out.. we aim to develop into all rounders or full fledged beings.. :)

Ok Pneal.

Challenge this weeks is to design a futuristic interface for a message box for an instant messenger. Basicaly a re-design of THIS (http://www.sit.ulaval.ca/pp/rva/presteleconf/MsnMessenger.jpg).
It must contain a space for writing and receiving messages and space for a picture. Any other addition are up to you!

I was thinking and thinking what to give daz for chalenge and not to be crushed and conclusion was; ill be crushed no matter what i give to him.
So after some thinking i came up with this:
Use this stock photo of city ( sxc.hu ) http://www.filefactory.com/file/56866d and make some chaotic storm (fire, ion whatever just to be chaotic ) on it. Rules are that this is only photo to be used and storm must be 100% photoshop. Enjoy and marry christmas to all. :cheers

Ok, Your task is to make a concert poster using only black, white and one colour of Your choice. Your work can contain gradients, duotones etc, so different tints of colours are ok, as long as the work clearly looks made of b&w&one colour.

Size 800x600 (or 600x800) attached to the entry thread. Optimized for forum rules.

The band is called Mad Bats, You can choose the style of their music and the style of the poster accordingly.

In the poster there should also be date: friday 5.1.2007
time 23.00 (or 11 pm) and place Biloxi Ballroom. You can have also additional text, if You like.

Use photos, drawings, scans, graphic, typo, whatever You like as long as You put the whole together in PS.

k sorry hermie for the late post. The holidays have been overhwhelming yet fun. My challenge to you create a Magazine cover. For a fake or pre existing magainze company. Photographs/ photoshop skillz to be used.

Just a reminder to make your cover complete a headline cover story name. Maybee a few catch phrases and bam. There you go. =0. Its gonna be fun.
