effects for a face?

hey guys.. i am working on a project in my graphic design class and i need a few suggestions. i have a side view of a face and im making a promotional ad for the class. what are some effects that would look good and impress my teacher? (note: it has to be in grayscale only)

I suggest this a lot. But, try the super tutorial on the cafe main page. It's under misc. Just use really high contrast images and add some screen shots of programs you use in that class.
