Does a LASER mouse actually make a difference???

I have an MX1000 Logitech laser mouse.

There fantastic and you do not get the jumps you occasionally get with optical mice (especiallt cheap ones)

That is my personal experience and opinion.

Same here...

I got the Logitech Bluetooth Desktop MX 5000 (also the MX1000 laser mouse) and it really rocks!!!

Also a black surface kills when using a optical mouse, BUT not with a laser mouse....

It is my opinion that laser mice are pretty much over-rated.

Basically the only advantage of a laser mouse over optical is its ability to preform on dark, high gloss surfaces. As for me thats, not an advantage at all, because for gaming a mouse pad is ALWAYS the best bet (and more comfortable).

But laser mouse technology is promising.

EDIT: Also, if you have a crappy optical mouse that jumps, its not the optical's fault, it's just a cheap mouse!

I use the MX1000 for CoD all the time (well when I played) and it worked just fine.

thanks for the tips and replies....i just bought the brand new logitech MX revolution...and its awesome..

To be tottally honest the difference isn\'t huge but it looks great and has loads of cool features.
