Well, I have very limited knowledge of web design so what I use is probably the most basic applications. Anyway, Some websites such as photo restoration sites have a button that you click to upload your photo to there website. They then access your photo from thier website to restore it.

Use need to use a serverside technology in order to upload a file. Something like PHP/JSP/ASP etc... will work just fine.

That sounds like a whole different ballgame. I'll read up on that. Any advice or suggestions?

I've recently created one for one of my websites (its within a secure area though so i can't link it) but I found that my web host provided a whole set of scripts to do it. Saved an aweful lot of messing around!
When I was looking at how to do it I did come across this though http://www.freeaspupload.net/ - don't know how good it is or otherwise as I havn't tried it.

u could also use advanced html to upload pictures to your site..
But I would recommend you to use PHP/MySQL.. It's much safer since you cannot see the scripts in the source..
I always use php/mysql to create my websites.. and im actually working on the exact same thing as you do now.. :)
