Clipping Path Frustration

Desperate times - Hi all I am trying to import a picture from which I have created a clipping path in CS2 and import this to Illustrator. Whichever format I try to save it in EPS, PNG etc and no matter how many websites and forums I read I still get the white bounding box around my images.

Spread the knowlede and free me from this misery.

You might consider looking for image format converter, probably you can look for free software online... (not so sure)
