hey guys, the default polygon in photoshop is a pentagon right? what if you want a hexagon or octagon or nonagon, how do you edit it using the polygon shape tool?
With the Polygon tool active, go to top menu>Sides.
For example, to get an octagon, type in 8.

how do you exactly do that? when you click the polygon tool there is no other menu that pops up if you want to edit the number of sides.
where is the sides menu?

Djbigs, there isn’t a pop up menu.
With the Polygon Tool active, Go to your top Control Panel. (Located near the top of your screen.)
Side option is located in that horizontal bar.

btw, no need to double post a question in different areas. :)

Glad I could help and you found it. Hey, don’t feel so bad, I am learning InDesign now and trying to find where everything is located.
Another tip about Polygons, a quick way to draw a triangle is to type in 3 sides. No need to take out the pen tool to draw. Photoshop does not have a triangle tool.
