View Full Version : PS saving images as Index?

when i save, it gives me the option to call the files whatever and ordering them with numbers. also it puts them in a separate folding. i sort of recall something in the preferences that allows you to specify what they are called and if a separate folder is created or not. check there....hope that helps.

Thanks, Sue, but that's not what's happening. It's not "naming" them Index, it's saving them as an Index file. I'm trying to figure out why this is happening and fix it.

Got the answer from the Adobe forums. Robert Levine replied, "Index is the color mode and that's the way GIFs work."

I could have sworn they always said Background when I opened them. Guess I never really looked before, so seing "INdex" was kind of weird.

Anyway, uh ... thanks for the help? lol
