Hi,
I've a question, I own a pc at home, but soon at work I will have to work with a mac. Can I take my work home, or do I need a mac to work with the psd-files made on a mac? Have no idea

Download TransMac. Should be fine if you can read the disk.

I bring them back and forth between platforms on zip disks with no problems at all. :)

I go cross platform all the time. Photoshop is great for that, very easily transferred. The only problem I have encountered is with fonts. Mac and PC fonts are not interchangable. Once an image is flattened the font is a graphic so it's not an issue.

what about if the psd includes thing that werent included in other versions (i know its a big extreme) layers were introduced in version 3 right? is there anything that could stop the files from version7 being opened in version 6 cos my cousin has had these problems with his school comps (mac photoshop6) and his laptop (pc photoshop7)

psd seems to work on everything. I download my daughters digital pictures, convert to Photoshop and correct them, then I burn them to C.D.s and she sends them to friends and family with all type of computers. I know most of these don't have Photoshop and they all say they work fine.

nope...there shouldn't be a problem...everything is Embedded PSD .
