Avatar
1) Click "Control Panel / Options" on the top of this page.
2) Then click the "Edit Profile" tab scroll to the "Avatar URL:" section
3) Place a url to the image you would like to use.
Signature
Same process as adding an avatar with the exceptions that you
1) look for the signature section
2) Use "[img]" tags around the url to display the image.
Things to remember
1) Some sites do not allow "hotlinking" (directly linking to an image)
2) Only jpg|png|gif formats are allowed in your avatar and signature
3) Please follow the size restrictions when adding a signature or avatar [The current sizes are avatar: 72x72 and sig: 350x80]
4) Please refrain from using animated signatures with the exception of adding simple "sparkle", "flashing" signatures are not allowed.
5) Respect copyright when building a signature or avatar. It is not "yours" just because you found it online.
