hey guys,

i'm having a terrible problem. my pc keeps rebooting from a bugcheck.

i even formatted and reinstalled a fresh windows. but it's still happening.

i know how to disable it from rebooting, but is that okay to do?

i'm running windows 2000 + sp 4 plus i only installed the programs that i have been using for quite some time.

when i check the event log i get this:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0x02000000, 0x00000000, 0x02000000). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini112005-01.dmp.

but these are only 2 of the others.

i uploaded 4 of the dump files to rapidshare:

i got no idea how to analyse them. plus my connection is so slow that even if i trying to download the tools, it'd take forever.

plz, plz plz, can someone help me.

i'll be so grateful. :notworthy

thanx in advance.

i'd suggest you pitch the PC and get a MAC!... i say that half joking.. but if you can afford it.. make the switch.. it's worth it

First off I would call MS and get with tech support or go to their help desk or help site. If that fails then you will probably need to wipe your hard drive clean and then do a reinstall. Sounds painful but if you haven't been keeping up with your updates you could be in real trouble with a virus.

I hate to tell you anything because it is a huge responsibility whatever you do. You say you reinstalled Windows? Did you format your drive first and then do a reinstall? Good Luck.

Helpful Grady, I am sure that he has a couple grand in his pocket to buy a MAC and re-process his whole software library.

hey cappy,
yes i formatted and reinstalled windows.

one questiion though, it is alright to diable the automoatically reboot checkbox?

also, every single program that i have is on CD. every time i downloaded one or got one, i immediately did a back-up on CD.

anyway, could u advise me on the checkbox thing?

thanx in adv.
