All of them allow you to register with them though when you go for the FREE option it takes from 2 weeks to 6 months!!! to get listed. The average is about 6-8 weeks though.

Funny that you should say yahoo, I did a search on yahoo for my forum name "mduncan62" It showed up in the cafe and on Gr0bys site. My site also showed up from Gr0by's site.
Thanks Gr0by. you are helping out without even knowing it.

I thnk you have to pay for Yahoo which is a waste of money. Register with dmoz open dir project and goggle. It takes about 3 months for things to show up but with good meta tags your on.
For my Pectus Excavatum site google brings me up as the third listing when searching for the condition and I didn't pay a cent but I do recall it took a couple of months.
Let me know when you are ready I can help you with the specifics.

You could be right...thought I saw dollar signs last year when I was trying to register my site. Maybe they decided that they were not going to make money on it.
