What is the best way to get a website to the top of google.com results?

For example I am working on a turkey caller website for a guy I work with.

The best way Slater is to be patient!;) if all your meta are correct,your title and your inscription on google, you will be in few weeks..To accelerate that, there are to be people loading your page to put your url in the database of last search.. You can tweak it by search by yourself for your site on google and that more than a few times. For me, it takes few months and my placement in the result pge aren't yet good...so be patient and perseverant. Good luck!! :)
