Hey guys. Haven't been by in a while... Anyway, this is the second time or so this has happened but it's been so long I forgot how to fix it.
I don't think it happens on all Documents, but on this one in particular I've been noticing that the Eraser Tool only works part way.... It's set at Default settings: 100% opacity, Paintbrush, dry edges, Stylus = Opacity. But for some reason it's only erasing part way... I can brush over an area and it only erases say half-way, and then I have to go over it again. It's very annoying, and I want to know why it's doing this. The paintbrush and airbrush tools work fine... Why is the eraser giving me trouble?
Thanks.

Check in the brush palette>shape dynamics>control, you might have fade turned on.

P.S. We missed you.

aaaww ^_^ *hugs the Cafe Crews* I missed you guys too, I just... kinda... didn't feel like I fit in well enough. :\
I shoulda mentioned I'm still in 5.5. There's no fade turned on, though. :| This thing's really pissing me on. I shouldn't have to press this hard with my Tablet...

Boy it's been a long time since I've opened 5.5.
At the top go to window>show options, click on it, the eraser options will show up when you choose the eraser tool, set the fade to 0. :x
Sam
Come back, there are a lot of new faces here, and I'll bet you'll fit in just fine.

Honey, it *is* at 0. That's why I'm having trouble figurin' it out. :| It doesn't fade after a few steps, it's like the Opacity is down, but it isn't. it's at 100%.
if you are using a tablet, maybe the eraser settings are not sensitive enough in the control panel of the tablet. I know for mine, the eraser settings require different calibration from the brush setting

It seems like just yesterday that I was in 5.5. :lol
Try going to eraser options and see if Wet Edges is turned on, if it is turn it off.
Hang in there, (Babe) we will get this fixed. :D

I don't have my tablet in front of me on this machine, but I seem to recall that if you are actually using the eraser on the stylus, rather than the eraser tool, that PS will show you brush settings not eraser settings. Switch to the eraser tool and reset that info and see if it changes anything... my memory might be off but worth a try. Oh and nice to see you about! :)

Ok, this thing is being really weird... It seemed to have changed overnight... I put the Tip Feel pressure to Soft and it seems to have worked. I'll play with it later and see if it feels right.
Wet edges wasn't on, it's like it wasn't reading how hard I was pressing right. But what was weird is that the MOUSE was doing the same thing. Now it seems ok but we'll see.
Thanks for your help guys. :) *hugs* I'll try to come by more regular-like. I miss yous all.
