Santa Monica, the end, or beginning, of Route 66.

getting there 2 hours before sunset really is ideal.

Been there a hundred times. Love 3rd st.
There is a vertical line that was created in the center of the photograph splitting it in half. That made it have an uneasy feeling to me. I used to be a professional photographer. Now it's just a hobby.

Thanks for checking it out.

Now that's an eye for detail.

when I took the photo I tried different vantage points but this was the strongest. But I see what you mean about it splitting the photo.
Thanks

No prob dude!
I always like critiques, it's how I get better and stronger.

I'm glad you noticed. Now next time I go, I'll try something different!

Thanks again.

:)I Can't say that I have ever been to Santa Monica Pier but I really like the photography... Oh by the way what is the building in the background that has a star shape on top of it...

Because of the angle of the foreground pole, I would never have noticed the vertical split if it hadn't been pointed out. Doesn't matter, though. It's a nice shot and it brings back a special memory for me. I was there once, back in 95.

mkeefe -- thanks, unfortunatley I didn't go in that building but I think it was a souveneer shop and coffee place.

n0chi, thanks, 2 hours before sunset is the perfect time.

Fantasm, thank you. I'm glad to bring back happy memories for you. I would love to go back and create some more memories.
