Hi,

As you probably know im a new to this these boards and I am very happy to find my way here. :).

I need to know how to do rollovers in ImageReady 7. I just learned how to do slices and made this site using them:
theclothingline.com.

Now i need help w/ rollovers.
I know how to do it with 1 layer and then just adding a rollover effect to the rollover pallete.

The question i have is how do i make a rollover affect that has no text in the "normal" state but in "over" state some text shows up.

Im ok w/ Photoshop and hopefully i'll get a chance to post some of my previous work but this rollover and animation business has been really hard for me to grasp for some reason. I tried tutorials but they are usually for ImageReady 3 or older and it gets hard to follow them, thats why im here. :D I really like the designs some people posted aswell! I was browsing this forum for about 30 minutes before i actually made a post! lol.

Anyways if you guys/gals could help me w/ that i would really appreciate it. :notworthy

have u tried using 2 layers?
one layer - graphic of button
2ns layer - text

so on the normal status just turn on the visibility of the graphic. and on the rollover status, turn on the visibility of the graphic and the text

Hi,

That didnt work for me. I do that and it affects the text on both states.

EX:

I click the normal state and add text. Then i put the opacity down to 0%. After that i click the rollover state and put the opacity up to 100 but that affects both states. :(
