PLEASE HELP - sphere making

Is there a way to make a sphere in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro like the one in this below picture? Also see how the sphere is wider in the middle and gradually gets thinner as it reaches its point, I want that effect also.

I would create a circle shape, then substract (using the third option at the left of the chain in the end of the option bar ) with another one, slightly offset to the bottom right.

Now, go to Edit>Transform Path>Perspective (or [CTRL/Command+T] and [CTRL/Command] )the top and bottom left control points to fake a perspective...) then hit return (or double click) to okay that transformation
