help on the BLING tutorial

i have a question about step 8 of the BLING tutorial.
you have to apply hue/saturation to change the color of the contour to gold, but when i do that the inner part changes from color instead of the contour.
So if someone knows how to change only the colour of the contour please let me know

Make sure you deselect after step 4.

When you are in hue saturation try adjusting the brightness slider.
