Very nice work. Two small suggesions:
(1) The fan blades should be flatter, towards a disk. Looks like there's too much angle on them. I've seen an amazing number of engines and these look like they wouldn't be very efficient. Also, the blades should be slightly arched, not flat.
(2) This type of engine (it really is a Gas Turbine engine design you're building) should have a more tapered back end where the exhaust is, not just mostly cyllndrical. Thrust is produced by the pressure created from forcing air from a large opening through a smaller exit...
This type of engine has an amazng number of these turbines which all act together to create this thrust. Even though you don't see them when you look at an airplane, there are many many spinnng turbines on the inside. That's why they are the shape they are.
The modelling is great though, just two things which might add to realism...

i would have to say that i have seen some inspiring 3d stuff and that is just a few levels below :) keep it up if you give it a nice map it would be amazing :)
