As you guys know, I finished my layouts a while ago (I posted them here).
It's all well and good, but when I looked at them, I saw the generic PHP-Nuke layout!
I want to kill the appearance of the generic PHP-Nuke layout, but I don't know any other layout styles. Can anyone give me any examples or something to inspire me ;)
(In case you don't know, generic PHP-Nuke layout style is when you have 3 columns with all the important stuff in the middle. Like this: http://crystalsanctuary.rpgsource.net/newlayout/design2.html)

Wow, I don't know everything you are asking about. But it looks very nice and I love the anime in the header.

Okay, I'll explain a little better...
Nowadays, EVERY site that pops up uses either a PHP-Nuke layout, or a modified version of it. My question is: are there any OTHER ways of arranging a page, and if so can you point me to some examples? I'm looking to do something at least partially original, not something that has been done upteen million times ;)

mh....
i bet it´s pretty hard to modify php-nuke.
personally, i would try to start to create my own stuff instead.
sure, you have to learn a lot, to reach the same functionality,
on the other hand, you will go to alot of pain while modifiying php-nuke.
doing your own stuff, you will learn so much stuff...i bet its worth it!

LOL. You just advised me to do what I want to do ;)
I'm not USING PHP-Nuke; it's an evil piece of software, and I can write my own PHP anyway. What I WANT is to find a layout style that isn't PHP-Nuke style (3-column, important stuff in middle column).

its up to you how to align & order your stuff...sky is the limit ;)

I agree...manipulating the layout and learning the Scripts such as Variables,Arrays,Strings...etc...and how there configured and interact all together and then make your own styles will help!
thats how everyones learns I suppose...just like baking a cake...you learn a recipe and add more flavor to your likeness!
Goodluck from another fellow PHP head here too
