My PC based web server seems to have problems reproducing the jpegs I ship to it for my web photo catalogue. Using OS 9.2 on a G 4 I burn a CD and on my screen the images look great, but when I ship the CD to my host and he loads the images into the PC server, as a test I download the images from the site and on my desk top they have lost saturation and contrast. Either the CD burner on the G 4 is not writing the jpeg files that can be properly read by a PC, or the PC server software has a reading problem. One person suggested that my color profile settings (Apple98RGB) in Photoshop 7 is not readable in the PC, so the color default is of lower quality. Anyone familiar with this problem have a solution? Thanks!!

I have the same prob w/ the company site i maintain. Jpg images just seem to lose quality depending upon connections/locations. At home the comany site looks crappy on my computer, at work it looks fine. this is why i've started to use png images for everything.
