Is this topic for newb posters or people who are new to photoshop?
Anyway, heres an image I made for a tutorial on distressing metal. The background is a bit dodgy cos I just put it there to get rid of the white background.
All comments good or bad are welcome ;)

This section is for inexperienced artists.......... it gives the general population an idea of the skill sets of the artist, keeping that in mind when offering a critique. If you go to the Cafe section that lists the forums.........there is an explanation of each section underneath the title. That should help when deciding where to post, what........
I like the metal, the content and the dimension. What kind of metal........... It has the look of aluminum or silver being too soft for stainless......... the gradients are awesome with a nice transistion...... it all has a very rich feel, wearing time well.... nice work, you're turning out to be a welcome addition.:)

Thanks a lot for those comments.... much appreciated :)
I guess from now on I'll post in with the big boys cos I've been using photoshop for a few years now.
As for the metal.... well.... right now I have a shiny fetish, I wanted to get a kind of solder blob feel to it.
If you're looking for a reason then I guess the main one that springs to mind is don't judge a book by its cover, outward appearances can be deceiving.

I leave the reasons to the artist:D I learned a long time ago not to spend a lot of time trying to figure out [why?]
I only see what I see and leave it at that!
Damn what a nice day.......... time to get out and breathe some of it! Adios` Capp............:)
