Very cool, I have seen similar looks out there with the scotch tape effect. I would make the links at the top right stand out a little more. Other then that, I think it's cool.

I like the first one the best, and the last one the least, IMO I would dump the last one (army).

i like the first one a lot... looks really good... i would also make the links clearer though... good idea with the tape by the way
i like the background on the second one but you have it set to tiles... just keep the one image on there
with your third one... the army one... i'd start all over or just use it as practice... it just doesn't look clean at all

its too wide. I have pretty good resolution and I still had to scroll horizontally, something I hate doing. You have to design your sites for people who are still using 800x600 resolutions and even think about old browsers like netscape 3.

Originally posted by scottperezfox and even think about old browsers like netscape 3. I'd have to disagree with you there Scott. This browser is soo old that those people that have it on their machines wouldn't actually be able to view your site properly or even many of the sites out there. The minimum browser I usually want to make my sites compatible with are Netscape 4.x as this is fundamentally like all the Netscapes after it as well as Mozilla and even Opera. With I.E you can get away with a lot of things but Netscape and Mozilla are probably the strictest browsers you can try to make your site compatible with and if you get Netscape sorted, you should have no problems then on in.
It's the year 2003, who on earth still uses anything bar I.E 5.x, Netscape 6.x and even Opera. They come on discs for FREE, not a hard thing to come across. If you try to make your site compatible with the early past browsers then chances are you're missing out.

site stuff:
-resolution
computers are shipping w/ resolutions far higher than 800x600, so u have a potential problem (a very small website) when your user likes 1280x1024, hell, my resolution is 2048x1526 (on one of my pcs, I have 5).
It's best to mess around w/ resizeable pages (i use frames), but graphically more attractive to select one size (1024x768) and stick w/ it.
-browser
you eventually must remove old browsers from your compatability list, simply because how can you provide users that bought an expensive Dell computer with the web experience they deserve on their high powered machine if u design your site for my pentium 33 machine? (how does a software company look when their site looks crappy on a good computer) new computers ship w/ new browsers. the rule i use is make the site work in NS6 and IE6... usually if it works in NS6 it'll work in versions of IE slightly below 6 (possibly 4) plus w/ IE there is an added bonus, windows update, many users update their pc's, and when they do this there is a great chance they'll update IE. (tech support @ work allways checks that drivers n' windows is updated, so even pc illiterate users who call tech support 24/7 will have an up-to-date pc!) The rule for all web-designer is to download and use NS, if this is done your site should work in IE. I use NS7 as my browser of choice, but have 6 available for testing.

the grunge site is amazing! love the tape! the only thing that may be a downer is the single picture of the guitarist... once pictures are involved it's best to use 3 at the least (just a rule i use). the tape is great! (the navigation in upper-right may need to be a bit more legible)
my favorite of the links u provided is your Leet web site, functionallity in a simply, but beautifully colored page! (add some faint red to the chicks lips, hee hee!)
and lastly, but not least, the army layout...
to be honest i don't like the army one.
your other two pages are of wonderfull, but hey, 2/3 is an awesome score for site success!! awesome pages :D
