Motivation to work

i hate coming up w/ ideas. that's the hardest part about graphic design for me. why can't i just be a rock star? :(
I've even had to teach myself how to use all of this software from books n' tuts, no grafik schooling! i have no clue as to what i'm doin' (sorry, just had to let this out)

Hi Jimmy

I tought myself the same way and suffer the same problem as yourself, comming up with new ideas.

I tend to work a lot on tutorials and variations.

But what i've noticed is that, recently i've been looking around myself at every day objects and thinking that perhaps I can do that.

I am beginning to see what tools would be needed to achieve particular effects and shapes. I ain't perfect and tend to find that the more I practice the more questions I have. How to achieve this, how to achieve that.

That's what I like about photoshop

I let everything be an inspiration. I look at commercials or logos or Windows and say, "How could I do that in Photoshop?" and then I try but it looks nothing like it so I get someting better.

One thing you need to do, never care what other ppl think about you. Do whatever you feel. Go to the mall and lay down on the floor. Climb the three by the road. Some may say you are crazy. But then, isnt every great artist?
