1 of my 3 sites - still adding some content but this is what i have so far...
ITChristians (http://itchristians.com)
the scroll window doesnt line up at all.
awfully busy mainpage but that may be what you want
in the top nav the farthest left and farthest right diveders...where the little circle thing is, its not even on either side.
dunno if you need the splash page to be honest its very basic so why not just go to the main page
the blue divider in between the header and the main window and left nav looks very out of place, sometimes its good to use a diff color from the scheme to bring attention but theres no point with a divider so i'd remove it. the boarders on the header and the main window and left nav make their own divider.

it is a little busy indeed, but other than it is pretty clean and the colors look good.
i took the "are you a good person" test and i will not get to go to heaven coz i've broken each commandment. That's too bad :D

chokes on her coffee at that last comment :lol
Bloody h'll now look what you've done.. You owe me a cup now..
decides to go in past the first screen after all, curious as to her own level of saintliness.. or.. something... :D
Oh, and I thought the front page (splash page?) was pretty sharp, actually, the first time I looked at it. The second time (because I wanted to take the test), the flashing technology thing bothered me...
As for the main front page, my reaction was "Ack".. It is busy, very. But I'm not sure how you'd go about changing that, as it seems like you want to make a lot of information available.. maybe look at places like CNN, USA Today and the like to see how they do their main pages? Just a thought...
The little article, January's Column... It.. hmm.. not sure how to describe it. It's not fixed with the columns on either side, so if the window width isn't set just right, it overlaps the column on the right.. If it's set too wide, it overlaps the column on the left.
But darnit, I couldn't find the test. I'll just assume I'm saintly and all. :D

Well here is the issue with the 'january column' box - its a javascript and I havent been able to find a way to put it in a scroll box that will adjust to the screen - I tried it in flash but its 'asks' the user to accept the java, an the iframe way did the same so I found some code on a msg brd and used it, it looked good on my screen but i'm noticing now that it is a fixed area (400px in 600px down from the screen edges)
I'm trying to make it more like a cnn type page but what i discovered after the fact is that because of the header size it doesnt look right for things to be outside that same width. I would like to make the header flat with the page so it all looks smooth but hate the thought of having to start all over again.
VIIKA - To answer your comment - "i took the "are you a good person" test and i will not get to go to heaven coz i've broken each commandment. That's too bad " The point of the commandments is to 'show you' that you cannot keep them and therefore are guilty of breaking them (sin). Now that your guilt is shown you need someone to pay for them, since you cannot, Christ was crucified on your behalf to pay for a lifetime of sin. You now must just accept his payment. The same as if you were in prison and a man comes to pay your fine to set you free, if you don't accept his payment, you will remain in the prison. If you have questions or comments, just goto itchristians forum and post, there are several people there to help you answer any questions you may have.
Thanks for the help on this everybody!

I liked your splash screen but the background was a bit too dark compared to the "blood" red text.
The iframe needs a scrollbar colouring as well as proper centreing as its resting over The Daily Blessings.
Navigation bar text looks a bit too over compressed but a really cool site there... ;)

Martin I think you mean this one

and yes it is ?
Lyghtnin...you have some serious alignment issues dude. I like the colours and the layout idea. The intro flashing is troubling...really bugged me. There may be some way to narrow down the info on the main page though so it isn't so overwhelming.
Good start.

its not an iframe, its a css style stationary box with a java script in it. I tried doing it in flash but it prompts the user open it (the java) when it comes up and if i use a regular table, it doesnt add the scroll bar automatically, if anyone knows how i can do this in a table or cell or ? please let me know.
Thanks!

Ok i think i fixed the problem with the css style - i change it to an iframe - I also removed the black background which hopefully makes it easier on the eyes.
Approvals?

I told myself I was going to stay out of this one when you asked for c&c. But just couldn't. *lol* How does it look centering the page on the page. Can you?

UGH! :D Just move your chair a little to the left it will be centered :lol
I already had it centered with the black background - which you can see if you use this path http://www.itchristians.com/black/news.html
but I like the new white design better...
