i pressed ctrl+x and the thing for extracting images didn't open. when i went to image there wasn't a 'extract'. what happened?

Its all the way down at the bottom...right next to the liquify tool.....

In Photoshop 7 press space-ctrl-X or it's the first one under filter at the top.

nope, sorry.

but i thought shift-ctrl x was for liquefy?
nothing happened when i pressed ctrl -x, what am i doing wrong?

i think i'll have to reinstall...:(

Sorry it's option/alt-ctrl-x. The filter menue works to, you don't need short cuts for everything, but if you would rather reinstall then look at the filter menue (the short cut is to the right of the command), go to it.
