Okay, i really did not quite catch on to what you were trying to do . . . but if I kinda understood right, you want to move all the buttons up on your site so that you can make room for a new one . . . ? From what I understood, all of your buttons are not in the same frame . . . ? I screenshot of what you are trying to do in flash might help, not the actual site that you have up.
If you want to select all your buttons, if they are in different frames, and you don't want to select anything else, click on the first button and then Shift+Click on the next button to select them both.
Again, a screenshot of what you are tying to do in flash, and what happens when it messes up would really help.

Now as you saw on my website my buttons are not on the same frame (i have the 6 layers with a diff button on everyone and then when you click one it goes to frame 2 etc where i added a keyframe on every different frame so that everything would show up (i dont know any other way of doing it)) so i need to move the buttons up (keeping the alignment) to make room for another button and i need to do this on every frame but keep it like it is just higher) i will get a screen shot asap...

take and create a movie clip with instances of all your buttons on in it aligned as they need to be.
that way you dont need all kinds of key frames to represent the butons u just need the one movie clip with a begining key frame and stretch it out the length of the over all movie.
usually when i am designing a website i use movie clips to house all my groups of things like buttons.that way i am not stuck with the prob u are having at it is alot more effiecient.
not to metion it will take less time for you movie to load that way cause it is only loading an instance of that movie clip right off the bat nstead of loading instances of each button right off the bat :)
remember flash only needs to load instances of a symbol to get up and display so the less instances u make it load off the bat the faster it is to load.

perhaps the answer would be (and you probably wont want to hear this!) not to use all the frames... they are more trouble than they are worth in design let alone the terrible way search engines deal with them.
try (like hoss sais) embedding your buttons all as movie instances of movie clips then just drop them into a nested table.
you will then have only one flash source file to edit and it will all be contained in a table that can be of a fixed size regardless of how you re-adjust the surrounding content.
its a pain to re build stuff but it may save many frustrated and repetetive hours in the future if you get it done now.
hope that helps...:-) Lm
