Bullet Hole

I've been seaching the forum for a tutorial that creates a bullet hole ... but I haven't had much luck. I found a few for bullets themselves, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

Any ideas? Ideally looking for a bullet hole on a metal background.

I know this isn't as good as Kumod's link but I thought I'd give it a try and came up with this simple idea. I just punched a hole in a piece of paper and scanned it and then just used curves to make this effect.
