Macbook Air, first looks at macworld, photos and opinions

I was as excited as anyone to see the new Macbook Air. This machine will be out in about 2 weeks. Thoughts after actually playing with one? The display looked really nice and bright with the backlit LED. It really is instant on. As soon as I opened the lid, the machine was running and ready for business. The keyboard is very nice (backlit) and the machine seems responsive. Although the demo models only had basic apps loaded. Multi-touch Gestures is really sweet. Flash Forward was a blast! We all gathered at the Marriott in Boston Copely Place. This was my first Flash Forward as a presenter. I had 2 sessions, the first was Creative Suite Integration and the other was Real-World Design Recipes in Flash CS3. I had a fantastic turnout for each session and it was a lot of fun. I gave away some DVD's as prizes. We had people from as far away as Sweden, Russia and Poland. It was fun seeing all my Flash buddies again and hanging out on the East Coast. Right now I'm at the Dallas airport, waiting for another flight. The brakes were broken on the other plane so they kicked us off and I'm waiting at the airport lounge. The summercamp... Yesterday things went really well. We had about 160 people in a very full room at the Anatole in Dallas. (I hear there were another 70 on a waiting list). The class went well and pretty much stayed on Schedule. We covered everything from the drawing tools to Multimedia and ActionScript 3. The attendees seemed to have a good time.
